MACC Statewide Advisory and Planning Team (M-SAPT)

The purpose of MACC Statewide Advisory and Planning Team (M-SAPT) is to: develop a group of committed cultural competence advocates; expand our outreach efforts; identify regional needs and promising practices; build relationships with regional institutions and providers in the area of cultural competence; assist with the planning of our statewide annual meeting and conference; identify recipients to receive the “Enlightened Kaleidoscope” award; and develop an online statewide cultural competence training calendar. MACC Releases Report on Somali Mental Health Needs

On August 12, 2008 MACC announced the release of their 2008 “Learning Your Needs” Updated Cultural Competence Needs Assessment Report featuring new mental health information on the Somali community.

MACC CARE Ohio Training Program

MACC and United Way of Central Ohio are pleased with the progress of the former CARE Columbus training program which was transfered to MACC in 2009. CARE Ohio training has expanded to a statewide level and increased the program’s capacity to serve a broader variety of health care and human services-related disciplines.
