Vision...

ImageThe vision of Tova’s N.E.S.T is to educate and raise the awareness of the African American faith-based community, populations at risk, and other systems regarding mental health issues, co-occurring disorders, suicide prevention, and to eliminate stigma while promoting recovery and resiliency.

Recovery for Traceé (from a brain aneurysm) and Tova (from bi-polar disorder) has been filled with trials, tribulations, and an awesome recovery.  They both credit their success to their faith and the continued love and support of family and friends throughout their journeys.

These experiences have lead Traceé to Tova's N.E.S.T., Inc. which is inspired by a mother's unconditional love for her daughter.  This program enhances the capacity of the African American faith-based community, populations at risk, and other systems to be a support system and to be more embracing of those individuals challenged with mental health issues and co-occurring disorders.

Traceé is committed to eliminating stigma and to be a drum major for justice as she advocates for those that live with these misunderstood illnesses and lives out her God given purpose in the community.

"Traceé has used her pain and fear and transformed them into hope and recovery. She has taken a heart driven message and developed it into a skills and advocacy focused training." Charleta Tavares, MACC Executive Director
